following :
Son Roger de Cressey IV
Daughter
Matilda de Cressey
(Understood to be a nun)
Daughter
Agnes de Cressey born 1316 Hodsock, Yorkshire, England (Understood

**********

Sir Hugh
de Cressey II was succeeded by his son, Sir Roger de Cressey (time period
about 1346), who was Lord of Hodsack, York, England. Sir Roger married Isabel, daughter and heir of Sir Hubert de
Rie. This union had at least one daughter Elizabeth de Cressey born
1378.
Elizabeth de Cressey
married Sir John
Markham 1368 - 1409. (Lord of East Markham son of Robert Markham 1322
and Isabel Caunton 1355). This union produced at least one
son,
Robert Markham 1406.
The
wills of Sir Hugh and Sir John are held at the Lincoln Episcopal register.
A
recumbent figure lies in the Church at Surfleet, tradition says it is that
of Sir
Roger de Cressey, former Lord of Hodsack, although some say it is
that of
Sir Hugh de Cressey, Knight
and Baron. The reason for the contradiction is the fact that the
coat of armour warned by the effigy is in the style of 14th Century making
it more than likely to be that of Sir Hugh.
