First Child Son. Dan Billany eldest son of Harry Rusling Billany and Elsie Wilson. Born 14th November, 1913, in the Hessle district of Hull, Yorkshire. Birth reference HES/87/385. Born into an impoverished working-class family in Hull, one of seven children (four out of the seven children died in infancy). Brother of :
Second Child Daughter. Eva Billany b.c.1912 (Birth Reference HES/82/280). Eva married Charles Wilkin. This union produced at least two children. Charles died in 1946.
Third Child Daughter. Peggy 1914-1919, (Birth Reference HES/90/02).
Fourth Child Daughter. Kathleen 1916-1919, ( Birth Reference HES/95/103).
Fifth Child Daughter. Joan Billany born December 1919 (Birth reference HES103/32).
Sixth Child Son. Harry b.c.1921-1921 (Birth reference HES107/179).
Seventh Child Daughter. Pamela b.c.1923-1925 (Birth reference HES114/57).
