Dan Billany eldest son of Harry Rusling Billany and Elsie Wilson. Born 14th November, 1913, in the Hessle district of Hull, Yorkshire. Birth reference HES/87/385. Born into an impoverished working-class family in Hull, one of seven children (four out of the seven children died in infancy). Brother of :
Eva b.c.1912 (Birth Reference HES/82/280). Eva married Charles Wilkin. This union produced at least two children. Charles died in 1946.
