Jane Pickering born c.1869 at Kilnwick, Yorkshire. The second child of Robert and Harriet. In 1881,Jane was residing with her widowed mother and siblings in, Kilnwick Village Yorkshire.
In 1892 Jane Pickering married John Henry Soanes born 1868 in Middleton-on-the-Wolds, East Yorkshire son of Henry Joseph Soanes (born Nov 1836 in Pulham St Mary, Diss, Norfolk died 1878 in Middleton-on-the-Wolds, East Yorkshire) and Jane Consitt Bradley (born 1840 in North Dalton, East Yorkshire, and died 1925). This union produced probably the following six children
First Child. Daughter HARRIET SOANES, b. 1894; d. 1902. Second Child. Son HENRY (Harry) SOANES, b. 1895; d. 18 Sep 1940, Ings Bridge, near Dunswell, East Yorkshire. Third Child. Son JOHN SOANES, b. 15 Nov 1898, Middleton-on-the-Wolds; d. 31 Dec 1989, Middleton-on-the-Wolds. Fourth Child. Daughter DOROTHY MAY SOANES, b. 1903; d. 1983; Fifth Child. Son WILFRED SOANES, b. 1906; d. 1960. Sixth Child. Daughter VIOLET SOANES, b. 1910. At the UK Census of
1901 John and Jane were residing at North End, Middleton on the
Wolds, Yorkshire, with their first three children. John is
stated to be a General Carrier. The census records have been
mis- read, for Jane and John are shown under the name of Jane
Skanes
John Henry Soanes died in 1931 and was buried 02 Feb 1931, Middleton-on-the-Wolds Jane Pickering died In 1933
