Philip Edgar 1903

PHILIP (m) "horse lover" from Greek Philippos. Saint Philip was an apostle in the New Testament. This was also the name of an early figure in the Christian church spoken of in Acts in the New Testament. The name was borne by five kings of Spain, six kings of France, and five kings of Macedonia, including Philip II the father of Alexander the Great.

It is told that he was a seafarer but we have no data yet to back this up.  In late life it is understood that he resided somewhere down Hessle Road, Hull.  We understand that he married Elsie Taylor at Hull in 1928 although there is a record of this union, it is not proven.
