 Kate is believed to be the third child, second eldest daughter of Fred Edgar and Betsy  Pickering born Hessle district of Hull, East Yorkshire in 1901, birth reference HES/49/78.  She married Walter Brooks at Hull in 1922 they had one son Arthur and one adopted daughter Judith.   They lived, we believe down Gillette Street off Hessle Road, Hull.
