Trevor Cressey (1937)

TREVOR (m) "big village" from Welsh tref "village" and mawr "large". From a surname which was from a place name.

     Trevor, second son of David William and Florence Alma Cressey (Edgar).  Birth registered in the university district of Hull, Yorkshire reference UNI/1/356.

Early life was spent in the Hessle Road area of Hull, East Yorkshire.  Extremely keen on sports as a child and competent, both as a junior swimmer and a member of HBC, where he won numerous trophies.

     On leaving school served an apprenticeship as an engineer which National Service interrupted in 1955.   He saw active duty in many parts of the world.   

     In March 1958 he met Judith Ann Carter and they married on 10 September 1960 at All Saints, Hessle.  East Yorkshire.   Trevor continued his role in the services.    

     Lance was born 23 Aug 1961 at North Ferriby, Yorkshire and Adrian was born 29 Oct 1964 at Aldershot, Hampshire.   The family spent the following 20 years traveling the world.

After retiring from the Services, Trevor and Judith settled into semi-retirement.
