David (Centre) c.1982

David, the eldest son of David William and Florence Alma Cressey born Hull 2nd May 1936

CRESSEY David West Sculcoates Hull   WES/174/117

David's first marriage was a travesty of disasters - he married whilst serving in the East Yorkshire Regiment at Dover where he met Mary Smith - against all good advice he secretly brought her to Hull and married against his parents wishes.  The marriage was registered at Holderness under 2A/258 in the third qtr of 1959.   The marriage lasted weeks only.  We do not believe that this union produced any children.   David had to wait until 1964 for his divorce.

David then married Ann Rich daughter of Ken and Irene Rich, in the 4th qtr of 1964.   The marriage was registered at Holderness 2A/222.   This couple probably had four children.   Karen, Mark, Andrew and Lisa.    Ann divorced David in the early 1980's and married her son Mark's, Father-in-law, Mr Smith!

 David resides at Harlaxton
