Alice Cressey (1925- 1975)

ALICE (f) Short form of Adalheidis

ADRIAN (m) "of Hadria" (Latin). Hadria was a town in northern Italy (it gave its name to the Adriatic Sea).

     Little is known about Alice other than she was the youngest daughter, one of six children from the union of Grace Osbourne and William Cressey.   Her birth registered in the Southcoates district of Hull under reference SOC/37/456 in 1926.

    It is understood that Alice married George Ostler and this union had at least one child a daughter Mary.  George died c.1942 and Alice more likely married for a second time to Fred Miller.   This union produced at least one son Harry b.c.1947.
