Introduction - Potted History- Beginnings

The Beckett family is traced from the late 17th, early eighteenth century, originating from Norfolk, England.

          Martha Beckett 1767-1804 (Bapt. 2 January 1757) Gt Yarmouth, Norfolk.  The first child of John and Martha.   Martha married Benjamin Quinton.  This union had the following four children.

First Child.  Daughter Mary Quinton b.c.1791 Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.   (1797 Mary aged (6) baptised)  

Second Child.  Benjamin Quinton 1792-1792 at Gt Yarmouth Norfolk.

Third Child.   Daughter Martha Quinton born 23rd May 1796 at Gt Yarmouth Norfolk.   (Bapt. 23 May 1796)

Fourth Child.    Son Henry Quinton, b. 15th December 1802-1803), Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.   (Bapt. 21 December 1802)
