Introduction - Potted History- Beginnings

The Beckett family is traced from the late 17th, early eighteenth century, originating from Norfolk, England.

       Albert Victor Beckett (1877-1953) Gt Yarmouth, Norfolk, England the ninth child of  Henry Carter Beckett a  Fisherman and Catherine Jacobs b.c.1845.   (Source FHL Number 1526459) At the census of 1881 Albert was residing with his parents in Gt Yarmouth and his other siblings.

 Albert Victor married Edith Elizabeth Kent (1878-1939, Lowestoft, Suffolk) on 2nd October 1898 in Gt Yarmouth.

Witnesses were Henry Beckett and William Kent
FHL Number 1526459) 

At the 1901 census of Lowestoft the family is found as follows:   Albert Victor is declared to be Chocolate packer.

First Child.  Daughter Ethel b.c.1900 Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Second Child.   Son Albert b.c.1900 Lowestoft, Suffolk.

This family in 1901 were residing at  Lowestoft Suffolk, England
