     William Bean the sixth child of Robert Bean and Margaret Munkman, b.c.1758, Christened 11th July 1758, Settrington, North Yorkshire. married Margaret Cowthert born Thorpe Bassett c.1758 on the 14th June 1778 at Settrington.   This union produced the following nine children between 1779 - 1797.   William Bean died 23rd March 1797

First Child.  Daughter.  Jane Bean b.c.1779. Christened  29th August 1779 Settrington North Yorkshire. 

Second Child.   Son.  Robert Bean born Settrington c. 1782.

Third Child.   Son.  George Bean b.c. 1784 Christened  2nd January 1785 Settrington North Yorkshire. 

Fourth Child.   Daughter.  Margaret Bean b.c. 1786 Christened  3rd December 1786 Settrington North Yorkshire. 

Fifth Child.   Son.  William Bean b.c. 1788 Christened  7th December 1788 Settrington North Yorkshire.  

Sixth Child.   Daughter.  Betty Bean b.c. 1792 Christened  27th January 1793 Settrington North Yorkshire.  

Seventh Child.   Son.  Thomas Bean born Scagglethorpe c. 1794.

Eighth Child.   Son.  Thomas Bean born Scagglethorpe c. 1795.

Ninth Child.   Son.  Daughter Hannah Bean b.c. 1797 Christened  23rd August 1797 Settrington North Yorkshire.
