     Thomas Bean eighth child of William Bean and Margaret Cowthert  b.c.1795, christened 11th October 1795 Scagglesthorpe, North Yorkshire.   On the 19th January 1816 at Weaverthorpe,  North Yorkshire, he married Elizabeth Sandeman born East Lutton, North Yorkshire c.1796  This couple had at least the following nine children between 1817 - 1840.   

In 1841 at the census, this family were residing in the village of Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire.

1881 census he is shown to be residing as a widower with his son George, b.c. 1864, at Weaverthorpe, North Yorkshire.  He is listed as an agricultural Labourer?

In 1891 at the census he was shown to be living on his own at Weaverthorpe, North Yorkshire.   He is listed as an agricultural Labourer? at 74?.

           Second  Child   Daughter Mary Bean b.c. 1819, christened 7th March 1819 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire. 

Third Child.   Son.   William Bean b.c. 1821 christened 13th May 1821 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire.   He married Ann b. c. 1821.  They had at least three children. 

Fourth Child.   Daughter Jane Bean b..c. 1826 christened 7th May 1826 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire. 

Fifth Child.   Son.   Thomas Bean born 21st December 1828 Helperthorpe, York.  He married Mary (1830-1897) born at Barton Le Street, North Yorkshire.  This union produced at least four children.  

Sixth Child. Daughter.   Mary Bean b.c. 1831,  christened 4th September 1831 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire. 

Seventh Child. Daughter.   Hannah Bean b.c. 1834, christened 4th May 1834 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire. 

Eighth Child.     Son.   George Bean born 2nd March 1837 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire.  

Ninth  Child.   Son.   Robert Bean born 30th November 1840 Helperthorpe, North Yorkshire.
