Bean b.c. 1761 christened 1st February 1761 in Scagglethorpe in
Settrington, North Yorkshire.
Christened on 13th December
1752. The
seventh son of
Robert Bean (b.c. 1719) and Margaret
Munkman. On
the 29th November 1784 he
married Ann Etty b.c. 1746-1808, Christened on 20th June 1746 Slingsby,
North Yorkshire.
Ann was a widow having been married previously to Christopher Hesp who died in
1782.
Ann Bean (Etty) was buried at Slingsby 21st April 1808.
This couple had the following four children between 1785-1792.

b.c.1785, christened 17th July 1785 in Slingsby,
North Yorkshire. George married Hannah this couple had at least one

Christened 24th February 1788 in Slingsby North Yorkshire. Ann Bean was
buried 17th February 1810.

Fourth
Child.
Son John Bean, b.c. 1792-1821,christened 5th August 1792 in Slingsby North
Yorkshire. On the 9th March 1818 at Slingsby he married Hannah
Linwood b.c. 1780-1822 at New Malton, North Yorkshire, the daughter of James
Linwood and Hannah Wilkinson. Witnesses to this marriage were, Thomas
Young and Francis Thornton. John Bean was a shoe maker.
He was buried at Slingsby 5th May 1821. Hannah was buried at Slingsby 5th
August 1822.
This
