George Bean, christened at Slingsby North
Yorkshire 15th April 1821. On 13th June 1844 at St Michaels, Malton, North
Yorkshire he married Ann Kitson b.c.1823, christened at Slingsby 12th October
1823. Ann was the daughter of Jonathan Hardy and Mary Kitson. This
couple produced at least the following five children between 1847-1863.
George died 16th May 1896 aged 75 years. Ann Bean (Kitson) died 7th May
1872 aged 48 years.

now a widower aged 60, a tailor, Daughter Mary Hannah, unmarried, aged 25,
Daughter Sarah Ann, unmarried, aged 19, John Bean, unmarried aged 17. Also
at this time there are three grandchildren present, namely, Annie Aged 7,
Thomas aged 4, William aged 2, all born in Malton North Yorkshire. The
parent of the grandchildren is Mary Hannah Bean. The father is not
known at this time.
In 1891, George along with his youngest son John was residing with
daughter Mary Hannah and her husband William Postill, at 8 Derwent
Street, Middlesbrough.
