Bean born 2nd March 1837 Helperthorpe,
York,
an Agricultural
Labourer, he
was the fifth child of Thomas
Bean and Elizabeth Sandeman. At the UK census
of 1881 George was found to be married
to
Annie Elizabeth b.
Weaverthorpe Yorkshire c. 1839 and
residing
at:
Ropery Cottages, Weaverthorpe, York, England.
They were the parents of the following children.

Fanny Bean b.c. 1861 at
Weaverthorpe, York, England.
In 1881, Fanny is shown as being a
domestic Servant although it would appear that
Fanny now has a child born out of wedlock
about c.1879. In 1881 this
child, Charles Bean, was shown as a
Grandson residing with grandparents. (See
Note 1 below ****) In
1891 Fanny was found residing at
Pasture Cottage Hepplethorpe, with her
husband Tom Wilson Wood b.c. 1854 at
Stonegate, Yorkshire and
the following four children.
