Amid the confusion of power cables, two Service D (Hessle Road) trams sit at the terminus.


The new City Hall in 1903, soon after its opening. Note the buildings to the right in Paragon Street, destroyed during the bombing of World War II.


Dogger Bank Outrage. On 21 October 1904, more than forty vessels of the Hull fishing fleet were working off the Dogger Bank when they were suddenly fired on. The aggressor was the Russian Baltic Fleet which was on its way to the Far East to engage in the Russo-Japanese War.
